The African Head Massage (Toa Spa’s version of an Indian Head Massage – and a firm favourite among the guests at Victoria Falls River Lodge) makes use of a chitenge (African cloth) and targets the neck and shoulders muscles for 30 minutes.
Another unique deep tissue, tension relieving treatment available at Toa Spa is known as Intonga Amasatchi. This 60-minute-long massage works at stretching tight muscles and reducing the build-up of toxins. The treatment is performed with the hands and wooden sticks of various sizes, by our trained Toa Spa therapists.
For the ultimate indulgence, the Illuminating Body Glow treatment is highly recommended. A skin-revitalizing full-body scrub – with a luxuriant blend of Walnut and Marula shell powder (which provide a gentle, chemical-free exfoliator) – is followed by the application of either an African Potato, Rooibos & Lavender or Slimming Detox Mud Wrap. Guests are then invited to sit back, relax, and let the mud do its magic. Once the mud wrap is washed off, oodles of Africology’s luxuriously fragrant and hydrating Body Butter – rich in Cocoa Butter, Shea and Canola Oil – is applied, to leave your body rejuvenated and skin smooth and glowing.
