Sole Use Game Viewer

Sole use of a vehicle for game drives is subject to the availability of vehicles on the day i.e. if sufficient vehicles are available on a particular drive, no charge shall be levied.

Guests wishing to secure a guaranteed sole use game drive vehicle may pre-book this at the additional rate of $220.00 per drive.  (T’s & C’s apply)

Note: Families wishing to take children aged 4 – 7 years on game drive during standard early morning / late afternoon game drive times (i.e. not Junior Discoverers Drive) will require a sole use game viewer – per details above.

  • Rates include VAT and are:
    • quoted, invoiced and payable in US Dollars ($)
    • quoted per adult sharing per night
    • single supplement + 25% per person per night
  • This rate includes the following:
    • Transfers (shared) from/to the Victoria Falls Airport
    • All meals
    • Local beverages
    • An optional daily transfer from camp (typically departing at 10h00 and returning at 15h00) to Victoria Falls town
    • A Tour of the Falls (part of daily transfer to town) – the entry fee into the Rainforest is for guest’s own account
    • Transfers to/from National Park Gate / Jetty for 3rd party activities
    • Two game activities – i.e. a choice of either a morning/afternoon game drive in the Zambezi National Park, and a sunrise/sunset river cruise – per person per day (subject to availability). Snacks & local beverages are included on the game drives and/or the sunset river cruises.
    • Afternoon Tea
    • Bird watching on Kandahar Island.
  • The rate excludes the following:
    • All unspecified transfers
    • All National Park entrance fees / Conservation fees / Heritage fees
    • Customs and Visa fees (where applicable)
    • Imported / premium brand beverages
    • Shop purchases
    • Spa treatments
    • Additional unspecified game/other activities
    • All off-site activities
    • All other / unspecified extras

Sharing children rate inclusive of:

  • Transfers (shared) to and from the Victoria Falls Airport

  • Optional daily transfers from camp (typically departing at 10h00 and returning at 15h00) to Victoria Falls town
  • Tour of the Falls (part of daily transfer to town) – entry fee to Rainforest for guest’s own account

  • Junior Discoverer’s Drive (mentioned above)
    • Embrace the outdoors like a true African Explorer
    • Join your Guide in his trusty 4×4 and bravely head into the ‘great unknown’ – learning all about the fascinating fauna and flora of its wild surrounds
    • Aimed at children aged 4-7 years accompanied by at least 1 parent – subject to vehicle capacity
    • Outside of standard Game Drive times – timing is seasonal and in consultation with Management
  • Young Bush Wackers
    • Take a walk on the “wild side” and discover innumerable natural wonders right at your doorstep!
    • Conducted by qualified Guide within camp surrounds and river banks immediately in from of the Lodge.
    • Geared for children ages 4-11 years (although older siblings and parents are welcome too!)
    • Timing is seasonal and in consultation with Management
  • Fables by Firelight
    • End off a day of epic adventuring with traditional tales from Africa whilst toasting tasty treats over the bonfire
    • Weather permitting
  • Various books & games – for indoor entertainment
  • Bird watching on Kandahar Island (ages 12 years and older)

All activities/excursions are subject to the aforementioned conditions (and those below) and with parental supervision only.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Per Zimbabwe National Parks, the following Conservation Fees currently (as at January 2016) apply for entry into:

Zambezi National Park:

Accommodated Visitor

International Visitors              USD 8.00 per person per night – Children 6-12 years is USD 4.00 per person per night

Regional Visitors                     USD 6.00 per person per night – Children 6-12 years is USD 3.00 per person per night

Zimbabwe Residents              USD 3.00 per person per night – Children 6-12 years is USD 1.50 per person per night

Kindly note:

The National Park Fees (quoted above) cover onsite activity options available to guests accommodated at Victoria Falls River Lodge.

Rainforest (wherefrom ‘The Falls’ may be viewed):

International Visitors              USD 30 per person per entry – Children 6-12 years is USD 10 per person per entry

Regional Visitors                     USD 20 per person per entry – Children 6-12 years is USD 8 per person per entry

Zimbabwe Residents              USD 7 per person per entry – Children 6-12 years is USD 4 per person per entry

The above rates are:

  • Calculated according to the nationality of the passport that the guest is travelling under
  • Non commissionable
  • Not controlled/ cannot be influenced by Victoria Falls River Lodge.
